Well Easter has come and gone. The Easter eggs have all been eaten and the bunny rabbit has gone back to his hole, but praise God, Jesus is still here, alive and well. He died on a cross to save us from our in, but three days later, He conquered death and arose from the grave to live eternally with the Father in heaven. He also lives within our hearts if we have accepted him as our Lord and savior, and it is His promise to us that we also will live eternally with Him and the Father in heaven.

We live in a time when they have torn down our statues, defaced our monuments, erased our American history, legalized sin by approving abortion, same sex marriage, homosexuality and gender preference. The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever. His word never changes. If it was sin 2,000 years ago, it is still sin today. The scripture says God will not be mocked. Those who do will pay the consequences. Sin is sin and man cannot legalize it without paying the rice. Those who reject the Christ of the cross and the price He paid for the forgiveness of sin will spend eternity in hell.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, but by me.” “For by grace are ye saved through faith: and not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints with all saints what is breathe and length and height, and to know the love of Christ.” The one who died for you, and that is what Easter is all about, not a rabbit, not a colored egg, but an Old Rugged Cross.

Things to ponder from the old cowboy preacher; Let us lay aside every worldly problem that distracts us, and concentrate on serving Christ, which is our reasonable service for what he did for us.
