Multi-Grammy award winning artist, Béla Fleck will be performing on Friday, Sept. 16 at the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park's Elk Park Amphitheater. The concert, a Canon City sesquicentennial celebration, will be the ultimate bluegrass experience.

Over the last four decades, Béla Fleck has traveled a musical journey that has earned him 15 Grammys in nine different fields, including country, pop, jazz, instrumental, classical and world music. “We are so fortunate to have a performer of this caliber come to Southern Colorado,” said Brent Hargrave, General Manager and COO. “This will be Béla's only performance in Southern Colorado this year.” Supporting artists include Sierra Hull, Billy Contreras, Justin Moses, Shaun Richardson and Mark Schatz.

Opening performance of the evening will be provided by multi-Grammy nominated Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen. Known for their meaty pile-driving rhythms and Frank's dynamic and bold vocals, the band's last two albums have both received a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album.

“Concert guests love that the Elk Park Amphitheater offers a relaxed atmosphere combined with magnificent views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains” said Hargrave referring to past concert events.

Located on the south side of the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park, the Elk Park Amphitheater is a sloped concert area with grass seating. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and/or low-back lawn chairs. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tickets are $32 each and include general admission to the Park. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m.; however, guests are encouraged to arrive earlier in the day to enjoy the Park's attractions, such as the Aerial Gondola ride, Zipline, Skycoaster, Via Ferrata and other family-friendly activities. A limited number of VIP seats are available for $70. Purchase tickets at royalgorgebridge.com.
