Today, the United States House of Representatives passed legislation which would increase the statutory federal debt limit by $480 billion. After voting NO, Congressman Lamborn issued the following statement:

“Washington, D.C. has a spending problem that it must get under control. Instead of raising our debt ceiling and borrowing more money, we must reduce our deficit and halt the Democrats' endless spending habits. We cannot continue this trend of reckless spending, which will saddle future generations with debt. I refuse to kick the can down the road any further.”
